Alessandro Ielasi was born in Ischia, Italy, in 1974. He earned his degree in dentistry from the Enrico Fermi Institute in Perugia, Italy. From 1996 onwards, he visited the Zollo dental lab on a regular basis to deepen his knowledge in the field of complete dentures, and he attended courses on complete denture esthetics conducted by Prof. Palla and Dr Bruna Ernst of the University of Zurich and dentist Jürg Stuck of the Italian society of dental ceramics (SICED) in Brescia. Since 2003, he has collaborated with Dr Antonio Della Pietra and Mr Antonio Zollo in courses on the fabrication of complete dentures. Alessandro Ielasi has worked as a lecturer for Ivoclar Vivadent since 2003. He is a member of SICED. He has authored various articles published in national and international journals and he is the winner of the Roberto Polcan Award 2014. He is an active member of the Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry (AIOP).
Dr Alessio Casucci
Dr Alessio Casucci obtained his degree in dentistry from the University of Siena, Italy. In addition, he holds a second-level master’s degree in periodontology and a Master of Science degree in dental biomaterials from the same university. Dr Casucci was a tutor in the postgraduate program of “Full dentures and occlusion” at the University of Siena. He works as a lecturer in the fields of complete denture prosthetics and implant prosthetics. He is a member of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), the International College of Prosthodontics (ICP) and the Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry (AIOP). In clinical practice, he mainly focuses on the dental rehabilitation of edentulous patients.

August Bruguera (Spain) is a dental technician and director of his own laboratory and training centre: ‘Dental Training Center Barcelona’. He studied dental prosthetics at the “Ramon i Cajal” college in Barcelona and completed his training during periods at private laboratories in Germany, Italy and Switzerland.
August Bruguera is the author of various articles published in magazines in Spain and internationally. He was an editor of the magazine “Dental Excellence España” and has taught courses and addressed conferences in Spain and internationally.
Moreover, he is part of the international Bio-emulation study group and an opinion leader at Ivoclar Vivadent. In addition, August Bruguera is a member of the editorial committee of the Spanish edition of the magazine “Dental Dialogue” as well as member of the editorial committee of the Brazilian magazine “Estética”.
He is the author of the book “Shades: A World of Colour”, which has been published in Spanish, English and German and joint author with Dr Sidney Kina of the book “Invisible: Ceramic Esthetic Restorations”.
In 2003, August Bruguera received the Golden Scalpel. He is honorary member of ACADEN (Asociación Científica para Defensa e Investigación de la Prótesis Dental).
Domenico Vinci
Dominique Vinci completed his dental lab technician training at the Centre d’enseignement professionnel technique et artisanal (CEPTA) in Geneva, Switzerland in 1983. From 1983 to 1987, he worked as a dental technician at the University of Geneva. His specializations include esthetic fixed dental prostheses and implant-supported restorations and he has more than 15 years of experience with all-ceramic systems (aluminium oxide, zirconium oxide, etc.).
From 1987 to 1988, Dominique Vinci was the owner of D. Vinci Dental Laboratory in Rome, Italy. From 1988 to 1990, he worked in the dental laboratories of A. Schöneberger in Zurich and Rome. From 1995 to 2008, he ran the Laboratoire Odontotechnique Vinci. Moreover, he was head instructor on the topic of ceramics for students of CEPTA and conducted regular hands-on courses for dental technicians. For his prosthetic work in collaboration with Prof. U. Belser of the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics and Occlusion (University of Geneva), he received the “best clinical case” award in 2005 together with Dr Vaillati at the International Congress of Implantology in Munich, Germany. Moreover, he participated in a clinical study involving bone level implants and zirconium oxide abutments (Straumann Anatomic IPS e.max Abutment).

Dr Guzmán has published articles on the topic of “DSD: Digital Smile Design: Full mouth Rehabilitation” in different books and magazines. Assoc. Prof. Dr Gil Tirlet
Prof. Dr Tirlet studied dentistry at Paris Descartes University. He has a private practice in Paris since 1986. For more than 20 years, he has been specializing in Restorative Dentistry, Fixed Prosthodontics and Esthetic Dentistry. He worked as Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Paris V and as a Hospital Practitioner. He has held lectures at more than 700 national and international conferences and published numerous national and international articles dedicated to esthetics, particularly in the fabrication of indirect composite and ceramic restorations. In collaboration with Dr Jean-Pierre Attal, he founded the GRF Group Raphaël Formation for esthetic and biomimetic training (clinical and research) for international practitioners in 2008.
In 2012, Dr Tirlet joined the international team of BioEmulation, a leader group in Modern Adhesive Dentistry that organizes lectures all over the world.

Irena Sailer received her dental education and Dr med. dent. degree from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tübingen, Germany in 1997/ 1998. In 2003 Dr Sailer received an Assistant Professorship at the Clinic of Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and Dental Material Sciences in Zurich. From 2010 on, she was an Associate Professor at the same clinic. In 2007 Dr Sailer was a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Biomaterials and Biomimetics, Dental College, New York University, USA. Additionally, since 2009, she holds an Adjunct Associate Professorship at the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences, Robert Schattner Center, School of Dental Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. Irena Sailer is a Specialist for Prosthodontics (Swiss Society for Reconstructive Dentistry), and holds a Certificate of focused activities in Dental Implantology (WBA) of the Swiss Society for Dentistry.
She is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Society of Reconstructive Dentistry and of the Swiss Leadership Team of the ITI (International Team for Implantology). Furthermore, Irena Sailer serves the Scientific Boards of the European Association of Osseointegration and the Swiss Society of Implantology.
Irena Sailer is also a Member of the Board of Directors of the EAO, an Active Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and an Active Fellow of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics.
Since beginning of 2019, Irena Sailer is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Prosthodontics. She is also the author or co-author of more than 100 peer reviewed scientific manuscripts, 6 book chapters and the monograph “Color in dentistry – a clinical guide to predictable esthetics” together with Dr Stephen Chu, Dr Rade Paravina and Mr Adam Mieleszko (Quintessence publishing). She holds several patents on esthetic coatings of dental/ medical devices and on a digital dental splint.
Assoc. Prof. Dr Jean-Pierre Attal
Assoc. Prof. Dr Jean-Pierre Attal studied dental medicine at Paris Descartes University. After completing his master and his PhD on the adhesion mechanisms on dental substrates with his mentor Prof. Michel Degrange, he worked on glass ionomer cements and orthodontic adhesives.
In recent years he has developed very precise protocols for the erosion/infiltration technique and cantilever bridges. Recently, he set up new prognostic and treatment procedures in the context of dental whitening.
He chairs the French Society of Dental Biomaterials (SFBD) and he is currently the director of a research unit (URB2i – EA 4462) focusing on the 3D printing of biomimetic restorations using a gradient of mechanical properties and the biocompatibility of dental biomaterials.
Dr. Attal is senior lecturer for Dental Biomaterials at Paris Descartes University and editor-in-chief of the magazine BioMatériaux Dentaires Cliniques (BMC).
Dr Markus Lenhard
Dr Markus Lenhard started his career as scientific fellow at the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Periodontology of the University of Heidelberg, Germany, in 1992. Later, he headed the ICDE clinical at the headquarters of Ivoclar Vivadent AG in Liechtenstein. Since 2003 he has been working as a dentist in private dental practice in Switzerland.
Dr Lenhard is member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry and a member of the Scientific Board of the Scandinavian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He has held more than 800 lectures and training courses in 50 countries around the world.
Being a full time practitioner in a private dental practice, Dr Lenhard focuses his lectures on improving the techniques and skills that are indispensable in everyday dentistry.
Dr Petr Hajný
Dr Petr Hajný finished the Secondary Sanitary School in Karlovy Vary as a dental technician in 1997 and graduated from the Charles University in Prague in 2005. During his medical studies, he worked as a dental technician. Since 2005, he has worked at the ASKLEPION – Clinic and Institute of Aesthetic Medicine in Prague (Czech Republic) as a specialist in esthetic dentistry and all‐ceramic restorations. Since 2009, he has been director of dental clinic DentInn s.r.o. in Prague. Since 2012, he has worked at the private practice EXI‐GROUP s.r.o. in Prague, since 2014, he has engaged in the private practice OneVisitDentistry s.r.o. in Prague. He is an owner of four CAD/CAM systems. He was the Vice‐President of the Czech Society of CAD/CAM Dentistry, member of the CZADE – Czech Academy of Dental Aesthetics. Moreover, he is working as a certified CEREC trainer for dentists and dental laboratories in Czech Republic and abroad. Since 2009, he has been a trainer for T‐Scan technology in most countries of EU.

Dr Roberto Turrini
Dr Roberto Turrini graduated in dentistry at the University of Florence, Italy, in 2004. Since 2005, he has been working as a collaborator in Dr Mauro Fradeani’s office in Pesaro, where is focusing his activities on restorative dentistry, endodontics and prosthodontics. His major interest is esthetic dentistry.
Dr Turrini is the author of several scientific articles published in Italian and international magazines. He also wrote a text about dental bleaching published by Quintessence International in 2011 (“Dental bleaching: methods for success”), which was translated into Italian, German, Spanish and is currently being translated into further languages.
He is also a national and international speaker. As a founder member of Fradeani Education, he usually lectures on prosthodontics and esthetic dentistry.
Assist. Prof. Dr Ronaldo Hirata
Dr Hirata is an assistant professor at the Biomaterials and Biomimetics Department of New York University (NYU). His research focus is on implants and restorative biomaterials. He also runs a private practice in Curitiba, Brazil, specializing in esthetic dentistry. He is the coordinator of several post-graduate programs focusing on esthetic and restorative dentistry in Brazil and he has held lectures about esthetic restorations in many countries. He earned his DDS from the Federal University of Parana, Brazil, in 1995, his MSc in Biomaterials from the Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in 2002, and his PhD in Restorative Dentistry from the Rio de Janeiro State University in 2009. Dr Hirata has published various papers in specialized journals and contributed more than 10 chapters to expert publications. His first textbook called “TIPS in esthetic dentistry”, which was published in 2011, has already been translated into three languages.
